The Clovelly Brewery is at the top of the beautiful Clovelly Village next to the visitors centre.
We sell a large range of local Devon beers, ciders and spirits. As well as some local crafts and gifts to take home, and some very nice wine!
We are delighted to stock beers from Clearwater Brewery, GT Ales, Country Life, Utopian, Hanlon’s Brewery and the Combe Brewing Company, as well as various ‘guest’ brewery’s.
Our famous five beers are Pilot Gig - an amber bitter, Top Catch - a refreshing IPA, Crows Nest - a ruby red ale, Black Church - a premium dark ale and C-Horse - a golden light ale.
We are proud to be part of the beautiful and historic Clovelly village.
Originally the estate was owned by William the Conqueror, King of England, gifted to his wife and then had many royal associations until 1242. Until the middle of the 19th century Clovelly was unknown to the outside world. It was partly as a result of Charles Kingsley’s ‘Westward Ho!’, set in and around the village, that visitors began to come.
Today, the village offers a real passage to the life at a picturesque fishing village, steeped in maritime atmosphere and history, embodied by a traffic-free, cobbled streets with flower-strewn cottages, tumbling down a cleft in the 400-foot cliff to the ancient fishing harbour and 14th century quay bringing glorious views along the way.
OUR FAMOUS BEERS
An invigorating, grapefruit and honey IPA, moderately strong and hoppy.
Brewed with pale, wheat, & crystal malts; infused with a blend of Challenger & Aurora hops. Full of flavour with notes of toast, light caramel and malty sweetness. A dry, crisp and hoppy finish.
A premium malty bitter with a fruity aroma.
Crafted with the finest ingredients to deliver a smooth but full-bodied, caramelly beer, with rich fruit and bitter notes.
A light hoppy ale.
Crafted with the finest ingredients to deliver a light citrussy beer, with hints of biscuit and apricot fruit.
